| Bardia National Park Initially it was established as hunting reserve in 1976 and
transformed it into Karnali Wildlife Reserve and finally in
1982 it is converted into Barida Nation Park. It is situated
in plain (terai ) land east of Karnali river in western Nepal
and covers 968 sqmt.This is the home of Tiger, wild elephant,
rhinoceros, swamp deer, blackbuck, gharial crocodile, march
mugger crocodile and Gangetic dolphin, Bengal folrican, Lesser
florican, Silver-eared mesia, and Sarus crane. 30 different
mammals, and 250 species of birds. |
