| Bardia National Park
Initially it was established as hunting reserve in 1976 and
transformed it into Karnali Wildlife Reserve and finally in
1982 it is converted into Barida Nation Park. It is situated
in plain (terai ) land east of Karnali river in western Nepal
and covers 968 sqmt.This is the home of Tiger, wild elephant,
rhinoceros, swamp deer, blackbuck, gharial crocodile, march
mugger crocodile and Gangetic dolphin, Bengal folrican, Lesser
florican, Silver-eared mesia, and Sarus crane. 30 different
mammals, and 250 species of birds.
Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is
situated in Chitwan district. It covers the area of 932sqmt
around Siwalik hill range, Narayani river, Rapti river
and Reu river. It holds 600 plant species, 50 mammals,
526 birds and 49 amphibians and reptiles, different flora
and fauna. |

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is located in Saptari and Sunsari
districs in eastern Nepal which was stablished to preserve
the habitat of the remaining population of wild buffalo, Arna
in Nepal. In recent days it became a land of bird wathchers'
because this reserve is home of more than 300 of different
species of birds. Some of them migrate from Siberia during
the winter.
Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve
Royal Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve was established as a
hunting reserve located in Terai in the area of 305sqmt.
